Project and Task Management

For team work EdoLine offers Kanban boards: a project is a board with its own team, stages are columns, and tasks are cards with assignees, deadlines and checklists.

How project work is organized

Project board

Project lead, team members and board visibility settings.

Stage columns

Task statuses are columns, for example “To do”, “In progress”, “Done”.

Task cards

Assignee, participants, deadline, priority and labels.

Managing tasks within a project

  • Creating tasks — add a task to a column and move it between stages.
  • Assigning people — the task owner and participants.
  • Deadlines — due dates with an overdue marker.
  • Priorities and labels — for sorting and filtering tasks.
  • Checklists — break a task down into sub-items.
  • Attachments and comments — files, images and discussion on the card.
  • Activity log — a record of every action on each task.

Project tasks vs. assignments

Kanban boards are meant for team work and sharing tasks among project members. For management instructions on documents with formal execution control, use assignments and execution control. The Projects and Tasks module is available depending on your plan.
